It’s hard to believe it’s been a full year since I really leaned into growing my travel business with Destination Vacation. Looking back, this year has been full of learning curves, incredible trips, and a whole lot of “yes, I can absolutely help you plan that.”
What I Learned
This year taught me more about the travel industry than I expected. I spent time deep in resort comparisons. Such a weighing Breathless against Secrets for clients dreaming of Cabo and realizing how much the right fit matters more than just the flashiest option. I also learned the ropes of handling client credit communications with Funjet, which taught me patience and how to advocate hard for the people I’m booking for.
I also learned a lot about balance this year. White Peony and my travel business are both things I absolutely love — being part of something truly amazing at the boutique, while also getting to fuel my love of travel and be part of my clients’ experiences. Finding the rhythm between the two, and giving each the attention it deserves, has been one of the biggest lessons of the year.
What I Love

I love the moment a client’s itinerary finally comes together such as piecing together a Japan, Thailand, and Seoul trip and watching it go from a wishlist to a real itinerary. There’s something special about helping people figure out when to go, not just where to go but guiding clients through the best timing for a Dominican Republic getaway or a Hawaii trip.
I love that no two trips I plan look the same — couples trips, girls trips, anniversary getaways, wedding groups, hiking adventures. Every itinerary is its own kind of adventure. This year, really diving into Hawaii has been a highlight! I’m so excited to experience it alongside my clients as they plan their own trips there.
What I’m Looking Forward To
I’m looking forward to seeing return clients, the ones who trusted me with their first trip and are coming back for the next one. There’s nothing like that kind of relationship built on trust and shared adventure.

I’m also excited to keep diving deeper into even more destinations, and to keep growing in my travel advisor knowledge and the connections I’ve built over the years. This business keeps teaching me something new with every trip I plan.
