Planning Your Family’s Next Spring Break

Spring break is a fantastic opportunity to escape the daily grind and enjoy quality time with your fast growing kids.  I love to suggest an all-inclusive  beach vacation that can provide the ideal combination of relaxation and adventure, with something for everyone to enjoy. To ensure a smooth and memorable trip, consider these key planning tips. If you do not want to stay at an all inclusive resort that is ok, these tips apply to you too!

1. Choose the Right Destination: The first step in planning a successful spring break getaway is selecting a family-friendly destination. Popular spots like the Caribbean, Mexico’s Riviera Maya, and Hawaii offer a range of activities suited for all ages.  Many times, I will talk with a family member to help narrow down all the wonderful options and help your family pick the right destination according to what you want to experience as a family.

2. Opt for a Family-Centric Resort: When choosing an all-inclusive resort, focus on properties that cater specifically to families. Look for resorts with amenities such as kids’ clubs, family pools, and organized activities for your children. Many resorts offer supervised childcare, allowing parents some relaxation time. Do not forget the teens! We love to look for larger water parks, Flo Rider and late night entertainment while keeping in mind all the kids' different ages will make a difference.

3. Plan Ahead for the Best Experience: To secure the best pricing and availability, aim to book your vacation six to nine months in advance. This timeline allows you to select from more flights and resort options before the best are full. Many times we find that the better/best valued resorts fill up fast, only to leave our clients selecting something outside their style or budget.

4. Prepare Essential Documents: Before you embark on your vacation, ensure that all family members have valid passports. Check the expiration dates well in advance, as many countries require that passports be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If you need to renew or apply for passports, start the process early to avoid any last-minute issues.

5. Engage and Involve the Whole Family: Involve every family member in the planning process to ensure that everyone’s interests are considered (unless this is going to be a surprise trip). It is fun to let each person choose one activity or excursion they’re excited about, whether it’s a snorkeling adventure, ziplining, or enjoying a day at the resort’s water park. This approach not only makes for a more enjoyable trip, but also helps create lasting memories as everyone gets to participate in the vacation planning.

We are in full swing of planning our clients winter family vacations and group spring break vacations. It is our honor to assist you in finding the right destination and resort. It is our goal to make sure there will be fun and an unforgettable experience for everyone in the family from the little ones to Grandma and Grandpa!
